An Indian vintage carved and painted wooden horse sculpture with distressed patina. Born during the midcentury period, this carved horse charms us with its red, black and gold painted finish and distressed marks. Standing firmly on its four legs, this carved horse, unearthed in the 1980’s showcases a nice archaic style and a colorful presence that makes it a great decorative object. If you look closely he is sticking out his tongue.
Found in a back room of a shop in Mumbai, India he was hand carried (he was even charged overweight on the flight) back to the US and has live happily in New York ever since.
