A sharply tapered bud vase in nearly black sapphire-blue glass. Long vertical facets draw the light down to a broad geometric base and give a small object an architectural presence.
Curator’s Notes
I was attracted to the deep blue and strong discipline of the silhouette; beautiful beside carved wood or traditional paintings.
Details
Origin: Eastern Europe, possibly Germany
Dimensions: H 6"; base W 3"; opening 1"
Condition: Excellent
