Black Wrought Iron Candelabra by Gregory Litsios
Bennington Vermont
The wrought iron candelabra circa, 1970’s is a perfect example of the beauty of a simple minimal shape. No extraneous detail –just 3 squared strands of iron split and opening at the top to house a tapered candle. Tall and slim—a sculpture unto itself.
Litsios was mentored and worked under the direction of Albert Paley. In 1985, he was quoted in the New York Times saying "I gave myself a choice of graduate school or working with Albert, I chose Albert."
