This oversized hand-crafted feasting board was found in a small shop deep in the woods above Toronto. We loved its uniqueness and its amazing size. Since our original find, we’ve learned more about the maker, artisanal woodworker David Schonberger. David, founder of Ottercreek Woodworks Inc.in Tillsonburg, Ontario specializes in hardwoods found in Norfolk and Oxford County’s vast Carolinian forests. Each board he crafts is one of a kind, celebrating the uniqueness and integrity of the wood.

We love this as a conversation piece to use for charcuterie during happy hour with friends or dinner parties around the kitchen table. It’s both utilitarian and a beautiful piece of natural art.
